A series of still lifes based on my grand father Åke Carlsten's memoirs, in which he gives a thorough review of his favourite food and drinks. Collaboration with photographer Erik Wåhlström.

Excerpt from Åke Carlstens memoirs, chapter "Personal":
"A reader of this book must wonder who I am, what I do, and how I live. Let me try to shed some light. Starting with the foods that I eat, it is safe to say that plain, good old home cooking is what I prefer. Further, it is hardly a secret to those who know me that I have always loved cheese and sausages of all kinds and practically avoided vegetables. Some delicacies I have appreciated, others, less so. /.../ Beverages is a chapter in itself. Milk has been my life elixir, and I have enjoyed it with breakfast, lunch and dinner. I like beer too, but I don't drink it all that often. Wine, I enjoy a great deal, both red and white, and most dessert wines as well. Aquavit I have but once a year, around Christmas time. Cognac, I can't stand at all, and whiskey and gin only in mixed drinks. /.../ Champagne can be very good, depending on the quality."

Exhibited at restaurant Pontus in Stockholm, 2010.
