Restaurant Solen (Swedish for “the Sun”) takes culinary inspiration from the sun-drenched food meccas of California, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean. Situated in Stockholm’s old meatpacking district, on the outskirts of town, the name playfully suggests a destination*, while also making the restaurant the center of a melting pot; the axis around which all its culinary references orbit. The restaurant identity is an eclectic mix of cultural and geographic references, all aligned through the color, warmth, and light of the sun.
