YARDEN

The poster for Yarden plays on the film’s premise of a once-respected man forced into an Orwellian system in which he becomes a replaceable number in a list of faceless employees working at the dock. Making use of the leading actor’s actual casting photo, taken by director Måns Månsson at the audition, it captures an unfiltered sense of uncertainty and need that comes from not being in control of one’s fate. The title (The Yard in English) is the name of the haunting place where the story unfolds, set in orange to mirror safety clothing and warning signs; a place where entry carries consequences.
